What is Store Loyalty?
Store Loyalty lets you offer rewards to customers who place orders from your store on DoorDash.
With Store Loyalty:
Customers earn progress toward rewards based on how much they spend
You choose the spend threshold and reward amount
Rewards are redeemed on future eligible orders
The program runs automatically to encourage repeat purchases over time
For example, if you offer $5 off after $100 spent, customers can redeem $5 off a future order once they reach $100 in eligible spend.
How do customers earn and redeem rewards?
Customers earn rewards when they place eligible pickup or delivery orders from your store on DoorDash. Once a customer reaches the spend threshold you set, the reward becomes available on a future order.
Customers can see their progress and available rewards on your store page. All rewards are redeemed automatically during the checkout process on their next order.
How can I customize my loyalty program?
You can configure your Store Loyalty program in the Merchant Portal by choosing:
The spend amount required to earn a reward
The reward value customers receive once they qualify
Common examples include:
$4 off after $40 spent
$10 off after $100 spent
Once your program is live, customers begin earning rewards automatically based on your settings.
Does Store Loyalty cost anything?
No. Store Loyalty has no marketing fees and no additional commission.
Your only cost is the reward you choose to offer, and you only incur that cost when a customer redeems the reward. For example, if you offer $5 off after $50 spent, your cost is the $5 reward when it's redeemed.
How do I track the performance of my loyalty program?
After your program is live and customers begin earning and redeeming rewards, you can track its performance in the Merchant Portal:
Sign in to the Merchant Portal
Select Store Loyalty from the left-hand navigation
Review reporting on reward redemptions and repeat ordering activity
Because loyalty performance builds over time, reporting becomes more meaningful after several weeks or months of activity. Any changes to your Store Loyalty program require 30 days notice.
How does Store Loyalty work with Ads and Promotions?
Store Loyalty is designed to complement other DoorDash marketing tools, like Ads and Promotions. Here's how it works:
Sponsored Listings (Ads) and Promotions help attract new customers
Store Loyalty helps keep customers engaged and coming back after their first order
While they're beneficial on their own, using both together supports long-term customer retention.
How will customers know my store offers loyalty rewards?
Customers will know your store offers loyalty rewards when:
DoorDash displays Store Loyalty tags for your store on the DoorDash app and website
They visit your store page and are able to track their loyalty progress
This visibility helps customers recognize your loyalty offering and encourages repeat orders.
Can I keep my existing loyalty program if I use Store Loyalty?
Yes. Store Loyalty applies only to orders placed on DoorDash.
If you already run a loyalty program outside the DoorDash ecosystem, both programs can operate at the same time.
Can I choose which stores participate?
Yes. When setting up Store Loyalty, you can choose which store locations to enroll in the program.
Can different locations have different rewards?
No. All stores enrolled in a Store Loyalty program must use the same spend threshold and reward structure.
