The Road to Most Loved is a new way to understand how your store is performing on DoorDash. It introduces Merchant Status, which shows where your store stands today and updates monthly so you can track your progress. 

As you improve, you can move closer to Most Loved –  the highest recognition for delivering a great customer experience.

You can check your status anytime in the Merchant Portal under InsightsMost Loved.

Your merchant status is private unless you reach Most Loved status, that's the only one customers can see. Everything else is just for you, in your Merchant Portal.

The Signals That Shape Your Merchant Status

Four operational signals determine your merchant status. Each signal reflects something you can directly control, and your Merchant Portal highlights which one to prioritize first.

Missing & Incorrect Items

The percentage of orders reported with a missing or wrong item. Accuracy builds trust and reduces refunds. Learn how to improve.

What Changed: From the Most Loved Program to Merchant Status

Most Loved used to be a simple badge – you either had it or you didn’t. There was no clear way to see how close you were or what to improve to qualify. The Road to Most Loved introduces a clearer system. Instead of pass or fail, you now see where your store  stands, which areas are on track, and what to focus on next.  Benchmarks are transparent, applied consistently across stores and updated monthly. 

What hasn’t changed: Most Loved recognition is still visible to customers, , and your store continues to appear in search and discovery regardless of status.

Understanding Each Status in The Road to Most Loved

Each status reflects your store’s recent performance and highlights where to focus next.

Almost There

Your store is performing well and already showing strong results. You’re close to Most Loved, and reaching it often comes down to one or two small improvements.

Focus on the area that needs the most attention, like improving order accuracy, updating menu photos, or reducing cancellations.

Needs Work

Some areas of your store are below benchmark, but you’re not far off. 

Start by focusing on the area that needs the most improvement. For example, if cancellations are high, check your store hours or availability. If photo coverage is low, begin with your bestselling items.

Poor

Several areas of  your store would benefit from improvement, but you can make progress by starting small. 

Focus on one action at a time – like updating your menu, marking items out of stok, or adding photos to top items. Even one change can help stabilize your orders and improve your performance.

How to Earn and Maintain Most Loved

Most Loved reflects consistent, high-quality performance over time. You don’t need to be perfect – you need to be consistent.  Here’s how to approach it:

  • Check your status regularly: . Go to Insights › Most Loved to see what’s on track and what needs attention. 

  • Start with one priority: Focus on the recommended next action in your portal – you don’t need to fix everything at once. 

  • Building simple habits. Consistently checking orders, keeping your menu up to date, and managing availability can make a big difference over time. 

  • Get your team involved. When your staff understands what drives performance, improvements are easier to maintain.

Since your status updates monthly, check at the start of each month to track progress and adjust if needed. Small, consistent improvements can help you maintain Most Loved over time.

How to Check Your Status

Log in to the Merchant Portal and go to Insights › Most Loved. 

Here you’ll see:

  • You’ll see your current status

  • How you’re performing across key areas

  • What to focus on next

  • Use the “This Month” dropdown to compare your performance over time 

  • Visit Insights > Operations Quality for details on cancellations, missing items, and wait times

  • Visit Insights > Pricing to review your markup

Monthly. Your performance from the previous month determines your status. Any improvements are reflected in the next month’s update.

Merchant Status does not introduce a separate ranking system. However, stronger performance  may help your store appear more often to customers. Only Most Loved is visible to customers.

Status is based on consistent benchmarks and cannot be changed. You can review and dispute specific order issues in the Merchant Portal. 

Merchant Status replaces Optiscore and the previous Most Loved program with a single, unified system.
