The DoorDash AI Assistant is an AI-powered virtual assistant embedded directly in the Merchant Portal that helps with daily tasks, such as building analytical reports, managing store settings and troubleshooting problems.
DoorDash AI Assistant doesn’t just give advice, it can execute actions at your direction on your behalf — so you can spend less time in the Merchant Portal and more time running your business.
Instead of searching through articles or contacting Merchant Support, you can simply ask DoorDash AI Assistant for help.
How do I access the DoorDash AI Assistant?

The DoorDash AI Assistant is built in to the Merchant Portal, you can access with these steps:
Log into the Merchant Portal
Look at the bottom of your navigation menu, you will see a section that says DoorDash AI Assistant
Type your question in, and click the arrow button or hit Enter
Once you submit your question, the chat will open with your answer.
You then can follow the prompts to ask further questions or have DoorDash AI Assistant take actions on your behalf.
How does the DoorDash AI Assistant work?
DoorDash AI Assistant is powered by large language models (LLMs) combined with DoorDash systems and merchant data. When you ask a question, DoorDash AI Assistant:
Interprets, or “thinks” about your question or request
Identifies the best way to solve the problem
Finds relevant information and shares it with you, in a short and easy to understand way, or
Suggests actions that, with your permission, it can help you complete

No, your chat logs will only be available for 24 hours.
Can I integrate the DoorDash AI Assistant with my POS provider?
Not currently, but POS-integrated capabilities will be available in the future.
