How to update account settings in the Merchant Portal

Your account settings in the Merchant Portal allow managers and admins to update store-level information such as your store name, address, contact details, pickup instructions, and email preferences. You can also review commission rates, tax rates, and payout settings in one place. Viewing and editing permissions depend on a user’s defined role in the Merchant Portal.

What settings can I update?

From the Settings tab in the Merchant Portal, you can manage the following:

  • Account details (store name and address)

  • Contact information

  • Email preferences for performance reports

  • Dasher pickup instructions

  • Customer pickup instructions

  • Commission rates

  • Tax rates

  • Payout settings

Store details

Use this section to update your:

Store name

This is the name you will see on your DoorDash store

Address

Begin typing your address and once you see the correct one, choose your address from the dropdown and save your changes. Please note:

  • You can’t use suite numbers with this tool. If your address requires a suite number, contact Merchant Support to have it added

  • If your address doesn't populate and you see an error message, double check the formatting of your address

Phone number

  • Select the correct country from the dropdown

  • Enter your phone number and select Save

This number may be used for order-related issues and automated calls.

If your phone number uses a tree navigation (for example, “press 1 for staff”), contact Merchant Support for help setting this feature up.

Store communications

You can manage which email addresses receive daily or weekly store performance reports:

  • Add or remove email recipients if you have Manager or Admin access

  • Changes apply to performance report delivery only

Pickup instructions

Mx - Portal - Pickup Settings

Use this section to tell Dashers how to pick up orders from your store. You can add:

  • Default instructions

  • Instructions for where to pick up food at your store

  • Additional information to help Dashers, such as where to park

  • Dynamic instructions for Dashers who will arrive at specific times of the day or certain days of the week

If you offer customer pickup, you can also provide directions for a smooth pickup experience.

Tablet Settings

Use this section to manage your DoorDash tablet connection. You can:

  • Add login information and reset your password

  • Set a Pause Store PIN, which allows you to temporarily pause orders on your DoorDash tablet.

  • Enable the chat feature on your DoorDash tablet

Pricing plans

Here you can view your current commission rates for delivery, pickup, or DashPass orders. Please note:

  • You can't edit commission rates

  • Rates may appear different due to temporary city or state commission caps

To change your commission rate, select a different plan.

Tax rates and forms

Your current tax rate is displayed in this section.

  • Tax rates can't be edited directly in the Merchant Portal

  • If you need to update your tax rate or have questions about taxable items, contact Merchant Support

How do I adjust my payout schedule?

Mx - Portal - Account Settings - Daily Payouts

You can choose to receive payouts on a daily basis instead of weekly payouts.

  • Daily payouts are offered at no additional cost

  • Select Get Daily Payments to enroll
