How do DoorDash boosted promotions work?
If you have an eligible promotion* active during a boosted period, DoorDash may increase the customer-facing discount by adding additional funding on top of your promotion. Here's how it works:
You fund only the promotion you create
DoorDash funds the additional boosted amount
Your promotion fees remain the same, whether or not your promotion is boosted

For example, say you're running a promotion where customers "Spend $30, get $8 off." When boosted, your customers will see "Spend $30, get $12 off," with the additional $4 being funded by DoorDash.
With percentage-based promotions, DoorDash may increase both the discount percentage and the maximum discount amount. For example, a promotion set at "20% off up to $5" may be increased to "30% off up to $8," applying the boost to both parts of the discount.
Final customer discounts are rounded up to the nearest dollar or the nearest 5% increment.
Where can I see DoorDash's contribution to a boosted promotion?
You can view how a boosted promotion is applied on individual orders in the Merchant Portal.

To find the discount breakdown:
Log in to the Merchant Portal
Select Orders from the left-hand menu
Click History and filter by the date range of the promotion
Select an order to view order details
What you'll see in the order details:
Customer discount: The total discount applied to the order, including both your promotion and the DoorDash-funded boost
Promo fees: The portion of the discount you're responsible for covering, including standard promotion fees— the DoorDash-funded boost isn't included in your promo fees
How do I know if my promotion is eligible for a boost?
DoorDash announces boosted promotion periods by email.
If you already have an eligible promotion scheduled during the boosted period, DoorDash may automatically apply the boost
If you don't have an eligible promotion running, you may be invited to create one by following instructions in the email
Eligibility depends on factors such as promotion type, timing, and the specific boosted period. If you're unsure whether your promotion qualifies, contact Merchant Support.
Can I opt out of a boosted promotion?
Yes. If you have an active promotion during a boosted period and don't want it to be boosted, you can opt out by completing the form included in the email announcement.
You'll need your Store ID to submit the opt-out request. If you don't have an active promotion during the boosted period, no action is required.
*Boosted promotions are currently offered for select qualifying promotions in the US only.
